It’s been a busy few weeks for Stranger Things. November 26 saw the long-awaited arrival of Season 5 Volume 1 – four episodes that kick-started the final season of the hit Netflix series. Then, on December 25, Volume 2, which featured an additional three episodes and further built anticipation for the finale. And December 31 brought an epic, two-hour conclusion.
However, things have been just as eventful away from the screen — well, away from Netflix anyway. The internet has been blowing up with reviews ranging from positive to negative, reactions, theories, and petitions — all of them about Season 5, including, of course, the finale.

The Season 5 Finale Has Been Controversial
While many praised “Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up,” it also has its critics.
You might even say haters. Hundreds of thousands of fans unhappy with the show’s conclusion even signed a petition demanding that Netflix release an “extended cut” of Season 5, while many others were left convinced that the finale was a “fake ending” (the epilogue at least, with some suggesting that it was all a telepathic fabrication created by Vecna) and that a “secret episode” or “true ending” was set to hit the streamer on January 7, a viral theory dubbed “Conformity Gate”.
But, obviously, none of that came to pass. Although once January 7 was out of the way, many fans were then convinced that the Stranger Things Season 5 documentary One Last Adventure would be the “true ending”. Well, it’s January 12 and the film has now landed. But is it the secret episode many believed it would be? Watch the official trailer below:

What Is Stranger Things: One Last Adventure?
One Last Adventure is as promised – a documentary film that goes behind the scenes of the fifth and final seasons of one of the most successful television shows ever made. In a sense, it does indeed serve as the “true ending” to Season 5, delving deep into the process, featuring the cast and creators Matt and Ross Duffer, while officially closing the book on the fifth and final season—and the show as a whole.
Nevertheless, if it’s more Stranger Things you’re after, that’s what you’ll get.
