Law enforcement responded to two separate reports of an endangered missing person at the Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district on Monday, January 19. The incidents occurred just hours apart inside Walt Disney World Resort’s popular free-to-enter lifestyle center, which welcomes tens of thousands of guests daily.
Police Respond to Disney Springs Twice

Shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) about a law enforcement response to a reported “endangered missing person” at Disney Springs.

As with most emergency calls at Walt Disney World Resort, the publicly available information didn’t specify the exact location of the report. Instead, it was tracked to a centralized address at the outdoor complex.

Hours later, at 4:09 p.m., with no updates on the initial endangered missing person call, @WDWActiveCrime shared that law enforcement had returned to Disney Springs following another report of the same nature. Once again, the scanner log didn’t specify the exact location of the emergency, but tracked it to a centralized address at Disney Springs.

It’s unclear whether these two reports are related or reference completely different missing people. Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor local law enforcement has publicly clarified whether the endangered individual or individuals involved were found.
Earlier Report of Trespasser

The disturbing reports follow another law enforcement response at Disney Springs on Monday morning. At 10:21 a.m., deputies received a call about a “trespasser” at the Walt Disney World Resort shopping, dining, and entertainment district.

At Walt Disney World Resort, a “trespasser” can refer to a guest who was already banned from the Central Florida property and has illegally returned, or someone who recently caused a disturbance or broke the rules and requires a new “trespass notice” and a police escort off the property.

It’s unclear whether the trespasser was related to either of the endangered missing person reports on Monday afternoon.
What Walt Disney World Guests Need to Know
At this time, it’s completely safe to visit Disney Springs or any other public property at Walt Disney World Resort. The lifestyle center, the four Disney theme parks, and all Disney Resort hotels are operating normally at this time. Of course, anyone who encounters a police or security response during their theme park vacation should avoid the affected area and follow any instructions from officers or Disney cast members.

Law enforcement may eventually release police reports on these three incidents at Disney Springs on Monday, but they have not done so yet.
