Bone Found Near Disney Park Sparks Online Debate
A dog owner posted on Threads that while walking her pet near Hong Kong Disneyland Resort at night, the dog suddenly ran into the grass and began digging. The owner said her Border Collie dropped a toy ball and unearthed a white object that appeared to be a human bone, prompting her to alert park staff immediately.
Some netizens found the images horrifying, while others argued the object likely wasn’t human remains. “Human bones are normally more yellowish,” one commenter said (via Hong Kong 01), noting that real bone typically shows signs of weathering and erosion in outdoor environments.

The bone was reportedly found under a stone embankment on the outskirts of the park, covered in dirt but resembling skeletal remains at first glance. The poster said she was “so scared that my heart almost jumped out of her chest” upon finding it.
Park staff told the guest that people sometimes scatter animal ashes near the resort, believing their loved ones will reunite “in this happy place,” and suggested the object could be animal bone. The dog owner shared the post asking, “Can anyone tell me if this is a human bone or an animal bone?”
Several commenters defended the dog’s reaction, noting dogs have keen senses and might be attracted to organic material rather than a fake bone. Others tagged a forensic expert, who initially suggested the bones did not belong to a human.

Other Frightening Incidents at the Park
This isn’t the first unsettling incident to impact the Disney park in recent years.
Back in August 2025, a 53-year-old Filipino tourist collapsed while riding the Frozen Ever After attraction within World of Frozen and later died in hospital. Emergency personnel performed CPR and rushed him to North Lantau Hospital, but he was pronounced dead after suffering a medical episode tied to pre-existing conditions. The park stated that the incident was not related to ride safety.
Beyond that tragic case, law enforcement has investigated other serious incidents near the resort, including the discovery of a burned body at Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre, an area close to the theme park and its hotels. Preliminary reports identified the deceased as a 31-year-old man from mainland China who appeared to have entered the area alone and was suspected to have taken his own life.
