the obivious reason, if your a Floridian , is the construction in the area. You drain a river and leave low lying ground then when it rains ,puddles. In two days mosquitos.

I’ve been finding the same problem for a few years now at Fort wilderness. We’ve been coming since 1987 and in the last four or five years, the bug problem has gotten worse and worse. I have a feeling with all the financial cutbacks. They probably also reduce the amount of ladybug releases which helped to keep the mosquitoes and other bugs away. Doesn’t surprise me that we’re now seeing it in Magic kingdom also

Mother Nature will create a way to circumvent man’s efforts. In this case, man helped. They replaced several plants that helped keep the pests away and drained a river. A tsp of water is enough to spawn an army of flying blood suckers. No big surprise to native Floridians

  4. I used to live in Florida and I understand about the mosquitoes but you do worry about things like malaria with them.

….more PROOF Disney doesn’t have the $$ to maintain the parks as they used to…Hence the appearance of mosquito’s when their used to be NONE!!

…all this at the “Most EXPENSIVE Place on Earth”…
