Drinking Around the World Showcase now has consequences beyond emptying the pockets of Walt Disney World Resort guests… On Saturday night, Disney security involved local law enforcement in a case of an overly drunk guest at EPCOT.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on December 27, law enforcement officers rushed to EPCOT following reports of a “drunk guest.” Scanner monitoring X (formerly Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime shared the news, which was quite ironic given the thousands of intoxicated visitors inside the second Walt Disney World Resort theme park at any given moment:

Law enforcement responses at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and hotels are tracked at centralized locations, rather than the exact area where the incident occurs. The Google Maps screenshot shows the address of the “drunk guest” call directly at the main entrance to EPCOT, but it’s unlikely to have occurred there.

Local authorities often release police reports about criminal, suspicious, or disturbing incidents at Walt Disney World Resort. They have yet to do so in this case. However, records involving guests’ sensitive medical information will be redacted or kept private.

What Disney World Guests Should Know

No residual blockades or operational changes following the “drunk guest” incident at EPCOT have been reported. Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney Springs, and the Disney Resort hotels are operating normally.

Walt Disney World Resort guests shouldn’t expect to encounter law enforcement or Disney security officers related to this incident at EPCOT. However, visitors who encounter emergency responses at the Central Florida Disney parks should follow all authorities’ instructions and avoid blocked areas.
