While there’s still one confirmed Jurassic Park sequel coming soon, the latest entry marks the end of an era for the franchise.
It’s been quite a year for Jurassic Park. Not only did we get the seventh film in the series, Jurassic World Rebirth, which grossed over $860 million worldwide during the summer, but the third entry in the popular park management video game series “Jurassic World Evolution” was recently released onto consoles. We’ve also seen detailed overviews of the upcoming first-person action-adventure title “Jurassic Park: Survival”.

But while the franchise continues to evolve in exciting new ways, November 20 marked a quieter, more bittersweet milestone (for some): the fourth season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory premiered on Netflix, and it’s the final chapter for the animated side of Jurassic.

Chaos Theory began as a direct sequel to the animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (which ran for five seasons) and picks up several years after the events of that show.
Across its first three seasons, Chaos Theory followed a team of teens dubbed the “Nublar Six” — Darius, Kenji, Yaz, Sammy, and Brooklynn — survivors turned conspiracy-fighters — as they exposed dangerous and illegal trafficking that threaten dinosaurs.

Now, like the end of Season 3, the fourth and final entry is set against the backdrop of Jurassic World Dominion (2022). But is this the end of Jurassic animation for good? Officially, yes — Netflix and the showrunners have confirmed that Season 4 is the conclusion.
But fans shouldn’t lose hope entirely as it’s likely that the Nublar Six will return in a new form down the line in the same way Camp Cretaceous evolved into Chaos Theory.
Though it seems strange that Universal and Netflix have pulled the plug on what’s obviously been a successful show (nine seasons says it all), we doubt it will stay extinct for too long.
Watch the official trailer for Chaos Theory Season 4 below:
Chaos Theory stars Paul-Mikél Williams as Darius Bowman, Darren Barnet as Kenji Kon (who was previously portrayed by Ryan Potter), Sean Giambrone as Ben Pincus, Kausar Mohammed as Yasmina “Yaz” Fadoula, Raini Rodriguez as Sammy Gutierrez, and Kiersten Kelly as Brooklynn (who was voiced by Jenna Ortega in Camp Cretaceous seasons 1 — 5).
The final season is now available on Netflix.
