It’s the end of an era for Disney theme park fans.

A lot is changing at Disney’s theme parks. From complete overhauls of classic lands like Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom and DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to large-scale expansions like Disneyland’s upcoming Avatar land, there’s never been a time like the present for Disney fans.
A lot is happening inside Walt Disney World, specifically, with Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios all set to undergo immense changes in the coming years. These changes include the arrival of new rides and attractions, as well as new locations to explore.
However, changes aren’t just limited to Disney’s domestic parks, as places like Disneyland Paris will also see significant updates over the next few years.
At the top of it all is Walt Disney Studios Park. The second theme park to open at Disneyland Paris Resort, Walt Disney Studios has always felt like a Cinderella story waiting to unfold, often being overshadowed by its larger, more established sibling, Disneyland Park.
Put simply, Walt Disney Studios has a lot less to offer than guests might expect. Fans have complained for years about the park’s small list of attractions and rather tacky theming. Disneyland Paris has attempted to fix these issues over the years with expansions like Avengers Campus, but Walt Disney Studios still often ranks as the worst-rated Disney theme park.
This is all (hopefully) about to change, as Disneyland Paris embarks on a quest to rebrand itself and the divisive theme park.
Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park is undergoing a complete makeover, one that will introduce new rides, attractions, experiences, and a brand-new name. Once all is said and done, Walt Disney Studios will be known as Disney Adventure World, a name that will give the park a broader range to add more attractions and experiences.

Over the last several months, guests have watched as signs and graphics have been removed ahead of this rebrand.
Now, Disneyland Paris is offering guests a way to celebrate the original version of the park’s final days with exclusive merchandise.

The name isn’t the only thing changing at the park. Work recently began on Walt Disney Studios’ new ride inspired by The Lion King. Announced last year during Disney’s D23 event, this new log flume attraction is an important moment, not just for Walt Disney Studios but for Disneyland Paris as a whole.
The new ride will look and feel similar to Disney’s former Splash Mountain attraction. Guests will pile into logs and traverse the Pridelands as they explore iconic scenes from Disney’s classic animated film. However, this new ride is set to be much larger than all of Disney’s previous water-based adventures.
