Shortly after midnight struck on October 31, much like Cinderella at the ball, Halloween quickly went back into the closet for another year, and the Christmas season exploded on the scene. To cap off the complete Christmas takeover, Mariah Carey magically appeared again, proclaiming the start of the holiday season.
At Disney World, the transition was no different. On November 1, Christmas decor started to appear on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom, and will take over the other parks as the week progresses. At least EPCOT will acknowledge Thanksgiving by holding off until late November to open its Festival of the Holidays.
The transformation of Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios is in preparation for the upcoming after-hours holiday parties at the two parks. However, if you’re thinking of going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom in November, you’re going to be out of luck.

As of Sunday morning, November 2, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is nearly sold out for the entire month of November, with tickets only available for the November 30 party. This is a rapid change, as three of the November dates sold out in the last few days.
This year’s party is the most expensive ever, but it has sold out faster than previous years. According to Blog Mickey, only 30 percent of the dates were sold out, while 65 percent of this year’s dates are currently sold out.

This could mean that there is significantly higher demand for this year’s party, but the more likely explanation is that Disney has lowered capacity for this year’s party. That’s a good sign for partygoers, as the main complaint from last year’s party was that it was too crowded for the price.
At Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights has only sold out one of its 13 dates. The party’s opening night on November 8 is already sold out, but there are plenty of tickets left for the remaining dates.

There are currently eight dates available in December for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but with November selling out so quickly, expect those dates to fill up soon. If you want to see Disney World this Christmas, now’s your time to jump on those tickets.
