Many Disney adults will die on that hill for their favorite transportation method, and many friendships will be ruined over it. But the decision that could spark the most arguments among Disney adults is at EPCOT: are you a Mexico or Canada?
The question boils down to: when you get to the World Showcase from the front of EPCOT, do you take a right and head toward Canada, or do you take a left and head toward Mexico? This argument can define you as a Disney adult, but if you’re drinking around the world, it can help to ease your path.
If you plan to head to Canada, you’ll probably go for a nice Canadian beer. Whereas if you’re heading to Mexico, a margarita is your drink of choice. However, if you’re planning on “Drinking Around the World,” always remember: liquor before beer, you’re in the clear; beer before liquor, you’ll get much sicker.
But if you plan to start your “Drinking Around the World” in Mexico, you’d better bring your wallet and make sure it’s full. Disney just increased the prices of margaritas at the Mexico Pavilion.
Disney has raised the prices on all the margaritas at Choza de Margarita at the Mexico Pavilion. The seasonal margarita’s price has increased from $19 to $22, the highest increase of all.
Some of the other margaritas only increased by $.25 to $.20, while the food has also increased by the same amount. However, the price of a side of guacamole increased from $11 to $12.50.
While this is only one example, guests looking to make their way across World Showcase with a drink in their hands can expect similar increases at most of EPCOT’s bar offerings. So, you’ve been warned. The next time you’re “Drinking Around the World,” your wallet may actually feel like you’ve been around the world.
