The Walt Disney World Resort attracts millions of visitors every year. While the vast majority of those people come to Central Florida to have a good time and enjoy some Disney magic, a minor few can’t seem to escape their own personal demons, and the bad comes out on vacation. It also doesn’t help when vast amounts of alcohol are involved.

It was alcohol that fueled another bizarre incident this week at the Walt Disney World Resort. This time, it involved a married couple, a stranger, and booze at Disney Springs.

According to a report filed by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, October 23, a woman was arrested for striking her husband a little after midnight at Disney Springs. A second woman was also arrested for striking the first woman after she hit her husband.

The names were redacted in the report; however, they will eventually be revealed after the charges are filed. For this report, we will refer to the guests by their initials, as in the redacted report.

A little after midnight, the sheriff’s department was called to one of Disney’s bus stops at Disney Springs. When they arrived, they found that off-duty deputies had detained two women.

During the course of interviewing the women, the officers found out that the first woman (A) was waiting at the bus stop with her husband (D). They were told that A had had too much to drink and “for no reason” punched D in the face. D revealed to the officers that they had been married for over 20 years and had four children together.

After the incident between the husband and the wife, another random woman (S) entered the argument. S allegedly began striking A in the face and other body parts. Deputies reviewed the Disney security footage and found that S had struck A several times.

According to S’s statement, she saw A strike her husband and became involved in the incident. Both women were taken into custody. A was charged with domestic battery against her husband.

This incident is the latest in a long string of fights and arguments that have taken place at Disney World over the last few years, especially when alcohol is involved.

What makes this unusual is that a husband and wife were having an argument, and a stranger decided to intervene on the husband’s side and take shots at his wife. Alcohol will make people do some funny things, especially at Disney World.
