Christmas has come early to Walt Disney World Resort, as cast members have installed decorations, machinery, and other holiday preparations throughout several of the four theme parks and the Disney Springs shopping and dining district.

How Early is Too Early?

Walt Disney World Resort is known for starting holiday celebrations early, with the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event taking place at Magic Kingdom Park in early August.

In the days after Halloween, Disney cast members transform the property nearly overnight, installing Christmas trees, wreaths, and thousands of other decorations throughout the Disney Resort hotels, theme parks, and Disney Springs. The first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event will take place at Magic Kingdom Park on November 7, and Disney Jollywood Nights will begin at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on November 8.

Christmas Comes to Disney World

Even with two Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party events left on October 30 and 31, the Most Magical Place on Earth is already preparing for the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

According to WDWNT, crews recently installed “snoap” machines on Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom Park, prepping to fill the sky with fake snow during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Autumn and Halloween decorations are expected to disappear from the Magic Kingdom as soon as November 1, though the holiday transformation may take a few days to complete.

Snoap machines, lights, and holiday banners have also arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, according to X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DisneyStarr8:

Same at Studios. Lots of lights installed in bushes, snips machines, Xmas banners, etc. ❤️🎄🎅🧑‍🎄

Christmas came early for Disney Springs, too! On Monday, X user @Attractions shared photos of covered window displays at the World of Disney merchandise location, indicating that a transformation was underway. Just two days later, the Disney Park guest posted updated images showing the final remaining Halloween window covered and Christmas trees installed outside the store.

Just a couple days later, the last Halloween window has been covered and Christmas trees added to another at World of Disney in @DisneySprings

Walt Disney World Resort typically finishes installing holiday decorations by the end of the first week of November, if not earlier. Unfortunately, one popular Christmas display, the life-size gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, will not be offered this year due to construction in the hotel lobby.
