Guests were left disappointed today as one Disney park faced a string of technical difficulties.

While Disney’s theme parks generally operate like well-oiled machines, they can – and do – face the occasional hiccup. Weather is a huge factor for unexpected shutdowns, with multiple hurricanes shuttering Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in recent years. While the 2025 season has been clean (so far), last year saw both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton take their toll.

Technical issues are also surprisingly common.

Earlier this week, a massive technical disruption tied to a global cloud outage erased all wait times from the entrances of attractions at Magic Kingdom Park. Meanwhile, over the summer, the same park was forced to close several attractions due to unexplained technical issues.

Last summer, an issue tied to the computer threat checker CrowdStrike Falcon famously impacted sites across the globe, including issues with entry turnstiles at Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, digital displays at Walt Disney Studios Park, and select rides at Disneyland Park and beyond.

Disney Park Slammed With Technical Issues

Today, Disneyland Paris faced a swathe of technical difficulties that left guests disappointed.

“I’m at DLP now,” said one visitor (via Reddit). “Multiple times we have been in a queue for a ride, and it gets canceled [due to] technical difficulties. Flight Force 3x, Indiana Jones, Big Thunder Mountain… What a way to have a good experience…”

Guests were also evacuated from Phantom Manor (the park’s version of Haunted Mansion) and found themselves stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean.

“We were in the middle of the trip (according to the cast) so some of them got into the water wearing waterproof overalls others helped in a way with hooks, so they moved our boats to “emergency exit spots”, from there we step out from the boat and walk, it was a path outside the regular park area,” one parkgoer noted after their ride on the latter.

Apparently, these issues aren’t new, with guests noting that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad also faced issues last week.

The iconic roller coaster has notably experienced issues at Disneyland Paris for years. Despite being (in our opinion) the world’s best version of the attraction, it’s faced repeated shutdowns and evacuations, even after its lengthy refurbishment earlier this year. Unsurprisingly, rumors suggest that Disney plans to re-close Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for another refresh next year.

Similarly, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force has also faced a string of operational complaints.

Guests have long considered the indoor coaster – which was previously Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster before being repurposed for Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park – to be “rough” and “painful.” At one point, it was said that Disney executives were also disappointed by the attraction and planned a big makeover, but that never came to fruition.
