Disney has confirmed abrupt plans to axe one upcoming Christmas celebration.
Each year, The Walt Disney Company relies heavily on the holiday season to drive attendance across its global theme parks. Festive overlays, themed food, and special entertainment events transform familiar spaces into winter wonderlands.

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Christmas celebrations reach their peak with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. This hard-ticket event (which is already sold out for several dates) includes stage shows, exclusive parades, seasonal fireworks, and free treats — or, you know, as “free” as anything can be after paying up to $229 per ticket.
Meanwhile, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests flock to Disney Jollywood Nights, a newer after-hours event highlighting glamorous Hollywood-inspired festivities.

Families and Disney fans plan months in advance to secure spots, often arranging entire vacations around the opportunity to attend these limited-capacity offerings.
That’s no different further afield. At Tokyo Disney Resort, Christmas programming adapts to Japanese traditions while keeping the hallmark Disney spectacle. Seasonal food items and entertainment blend Western-style celebrations with Japanese culture, while Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disney Resort offer unique approaches of their own.

Turning to Disneyland Paris, the resort has long embraced Christmas with distinctive European flair. Guests typically find ornate decorations along Main Street, U.S.A., plus an oversized Christmas tree.
In recent years, has traditionally included Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade, carol singers, and a variety of festive shows and meet-and-greets.
However, the 2025 celebration is undergoing an unexpected change.

Disneyland Paris has dropped a planned collaboration with the Parisian department store BHV, citing the retailer’s agreement with fast-fashion giant SHEIN as the reason. According to the resort, the partnership “creates conditions” that prevent the project from continuing as intended.
The cancellation comes just weeks before the holiday season officially begins.

Still, Disneyland Paris visitors will not be left without holiday cheer. The resort has confirmed the return of Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade and the Let’s Sing Christmas! stage show. Guests can also expect tree-lighting ceremonies, festive snowfall moments, and a new meet-and-greet featuring Mrs. Claus alongside Santa.
