I was in school at the time. Don’t remember much.

I’ll be visiting the memorial in NYC tomorrow. I’ve always wanted to do that. Been to NYC many times and have never been to the memorial. It is on my bucket list.

I was an electronics rep talking on my phone helping a retailer with his order. I remember he was in N.J.
While we were on the phone he said a plane just crashed in to the twin towers. I believe he saw it on tv because he told me to turn on the TV in our showroom. He hung up. My teamates huddled around the TV for probably an hour.
The shock was so bad for us there that even though we were told we couldn’t go home it didn’t matter because nothing else really got done that day. And if you weren’t there the shock lasted for several days! I don’t remember anybody I saw even in grocery stores, department stores that didn’t seem affected for a long time. Truth most of those I’ve met that witnessed it live try not to think about it today. By the time I got to the TV at work I saw the second plane strike in New York and the one in D.C. For the children out there it’s widely believed the D.C. strike was intended for the Capital building.
Never was “a day in infamy” ever used so appropriately.

I was at Disneyworld that morning. I had entered EPCOT on the early admission day. I had had breakfast and was in line at The Living Seas, when an announcement was heard about, due to what happened they were closing the park and all guests were to return to their hotels or exit the park.

This happened at about 9:30 am. We were ushered to the bus pickup and returned to my hotel. Not having an idea of what was going on, I asked the bus driver what was going on? He explained about the planes. I went back to my room and remained glued to the TV for the rest of the day.
