Disney is somewhat guilty of encouraging over use and unsafe use by encouraging so many social media people with special access and perks for the free advertising. They get invited to press type access and encouraged for followers so it’s hard for Disney to then rein in what gets done with a phone. Not to mention, actually forcing guests to use phones for nearly everything in the Parks. Pandora’s box is open, good luck closing.
Thank heavens for this new policy. The glow of cell phones ruins so many rides! Pirates is another one that would benefit from “no cell phones allowed” during the ride. C’mon Disney, get this going on many more rides!!!
How about a CM has a scanner and scans your ticket or pass when you fail to comply with a CM request. Third time in a day gets you removed from the park for the day. Second removal bans you for 2 weeks if you have a season pass. Third bans you for 6 months. Maybe some real penalties will help with compliance.
Something like that would be great! Or some way to scan their ticket and kick them out of the park for that day, or don’t let them on rides for a certain amount of time. There has to be some way to enforce the rules. Maybe they can do this at all of their parks.
This should apply to people who do not know what they are doing with recording. The usage of phones should not be allowed. DSLR and smaller devices should be allowed as long as there is no flash and no video lighting; everything should be fine. People should have a special pass that allows them to record. This will teach them what to avoid, such as ruining the experience of other riders. Which will be a part of the pass instructions. I am so glad I do not ruin the ride experience for guests. And 100% no, this should be done for the other attractions. No. Really hate influencers. They always have to ruin it for people….

Just do what the cast member says.Dont start throwing a tantrum and acting like it’s unfair and you feel like you’re above Disney policy.
