While Disney and Hasbro are reportedly collaborating on a live-action Power Rangers television series for Disney+, the iconic, color-coded superheroes are about to make their debut in “Fortnite,” the hugely popular online video game developed by Epic Games.
In a new season, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will make their debut in the game, as revealed in a brand-new trailer that pays homage to the original ’90s television series specifically, with the Red Ranger, the Yellow Ranger, and the Blue Ranger making an appearance. Even the Mighty Megazord shows up in the eleventh hour to aid them in battle.

The special event launches on August 7 and sees the “Fortnite” battle royale Island overtaken by giant, kraken-like bugs that wouldn’t look out of place in the Power Rangers universe (that’s probably where the Megazord comes in).
“Fortnite and Power Rangers team up in this Live-Action trailer for Chapter 6 Season 4: Shock ‘N Awesome, which launches Thursday August 7, 2025!” the official description reads, adding, “Battle Pass holders will also be able to unlock the Dino Megazord Outfit by completing quests starting September 16th!”

What About the Power Rangers Reboot on Disney+?
According to an exclusive report from TheWrap earlier this year, Disney has teamed up with Hasbro, the multinational toy and entertainment company, to produce a Power Rangers reboot for Disney+.
While not much is known about the project, it’s reportedly being spearheaded by Percy Jackson and the Olympians showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz.
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are in talks to write, show-run and produce a live-action Power Rangers series for Disney+ and 20th Century TV,” the article states.
“Hasbro will produce the series, which will reinvent the franchise for a whole new generation of fans while delighting those who already know and love the world of Power Rangers.”
For now, the new “Fortnite” event will hopefully be enough to keep Power Rangers fans entertained.
“Fortnite” is available on PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Nintendo Switch, PC (Epic Games), Xbox Series X|S, iOS and Android.
There’s no release date for the Disney+ Power Rangers reboot.
