EPCOT To Debut BRAND NEW Attraction on August 28

In just three days, EPCOT will invite guests to experience an all-new, family-friendly attraction as part of its International Food & Wine Festival. On Monday, Disney Park guests caught a glimpse of the interactive experience set to open on August 28, 2025.

On August 25, WDWNT reported that cast members are putting the final touches on a play area in a flex space between the Imagination! Pavilion and the Canada World Showcase Pavilion. This multiuse space debuted at EPCOT earlier this year, and it first hosted a Stormalong Bay-inspired play area during the International Flower & Garden Festival.

On Monday morning, EPCOT guests spotted cast members installing playground elements near picnic tables and food booths in the festival flex space. The interactive play space appears to include large log-shaped tunnels, mushroom steps, and acorn seats. Even the posts that hold up fabric shades have been wrapped with tree-themed decor featuring woodland creatures inspired by the nearby Harvest Hallow festival area.

The Harvest Hallow food area was first introduced as part of the Global Marketplace during the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. It includes the Forest & Field, Milled & Mulled, and Bramblewood Bites Quick Service kiosks. The area has a fall farming theme, with decorative plants, gourds, barrels, and gardens all cared for by a new character named Squirrel.

This year, Walt Disney World Resort is expanding on the Harvest Hallow theme with a sign introducing characters to the adorable farmer Squirrel. It reads:

Squirrel loves to farm and gather
in the forest and the field.
With every passing harvest,
greater grows his yield!

At every county fair
he snatches up first prize.
His ambition’s never-ending
as is his enterprise.

The International Food & Wine Festival will take over EPCOT from August 28 to November 22, 2025. Kiosks featuring limited-time food items are available throughout the World Showcase and other EPCOT areas.
