One of the biggest Starbucks locations at Walt Disney World Resort has been closed for months without any word on a reopening date. Here’s what we know about the closure.

In February, Walt Disney World Resort and Starbucks announced that the coffee giant’s location in the West Side area of the Disney Springs shopping and dining district would close for a months-long refurbishment. The Starbucks store closed in March for what it described as an overhaul that was a “long time coming.”

Initially, the closure was scheduled to end sometime in June. But July came and went, and construction walls still surrounded the largest Starbucks location in Disney Springs, near the AMC movie theater. Walt Disney World Resort offered no word on when the coffee shop would reopen.

Finally, the store has taken its first steps toward reopening. On August 13, Laughing Place reported that the construction walls had come down from the Starbucks in the West Side area of Disney Springs. The store still isn’t open. Nothing about the exterior has changed; all the updates are expected inside the coffee shop.

Despite the changes, Walt Disney World Resort and Starbucks haven’t announced a grand reopening date for the location in the West Side area of the Disney Springs shopping and dining district. Guests can still Mobile Order or purchase their drinks in person at the smaller location by World of Disney in the Marketplace area at Disney Springs.

Starbucks also has locations inside the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks: the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom Park, Connections Cafe at EPCOT, Creature Comforts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and The Trolley Car Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These four locations remain open.

The Walt Disney Company collaborates with Starbucks for exclusive merchandise, including mugs, tumblers, ornaments, and more. These are sold at locations around Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort and on the Disney Store website.
