Something unusual is happening on social media. Disney fans on social media are actually happy with the recent upgrades at Disney World.

Given the recent acrimony and anger from Disney fans over changes at Disney World, this is a small step in the right direction. Even the diehard “Save Splashers” are giving Disney respect for the recent upgrades.
It started with Disney’s upgrade on Test Track. While the ride track was incredibly similar to its predecessor, the upgrades significantly improved the ride, including Easter Egg throwbacks to the World of Motion.
Then came Magic Kingdom’s Starlight: Dream the Night Parade. While most agree that the parade can use a few minor changes, the reviews have been incredibly positive.

Disney kept the momentum going this week with the announcement that a. new experience is taking over Animation Courtyard and Star Wars Launch Bay with a new attraction. Disney will be bringing the Art of Disney Animation to Hollywood Studios and, after years away, will be returning Mickey’s Sorcerer’s hat to Hollywood Studios.
Unlike Disney’s previous announcements, this was not met with protests or letters to the park president. Instead, Disney fans cheered the return of animation to Hollywood Studios.

After a year of protests and anger, Disney has seemingly done right by its fans, and they’re acknowledging these improvements. But does this make up for the damage that has been done to the relationship between Disney and its fans?
The answer to that question remains unclear. Disney fans felt a lot of bad blood over the loss of Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and Muppet Vision 3D.
However, this gives Disney fans hope for what’s to come. With Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom undergoing major construction projects, Disney fans hope those projects will follow in the footsteps of the last three Disney creations and amaze the fan base.

Disney fans now have something that they thought was impossible just a month ago: hope. And that’s always a good thing.
What do you think of Disney’s three latest projects? Do they give you hope for Disney World’s future? Let us know in the comments.
