Halloween is creeping closer, and Walt Disney World is wasting no time getting into the spirit. While most fans are buzzing about the upcoming Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT is cooking up its own seasonal fun with the return of Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit—a festive scavenger hunt that’s become a fall favorite at the park.

Starting September 2, 2025, guests visiting EPCOT during the International Food & Wine Festival can take part in this limited-time activity. It’s a lighthearted, family-friendly adventure that has you exploring the park in search of Disney-themed decorative pumpkins. Think of it as a magical Halloween hide-and-seek with a sweet prize waiting at the end.

How It Works

The game is simple and fun. First, guests can pick up a game board and sticker set for $11.99 plus tax—these are available while supplies last at locations like Disney Traders, Creations Shop, festival booths, and other select stores throughout the park. Once you’ve got your board, it’s time to start the hunt!

Pumpkins inspired by various Disney characters are hidden throughout World Discovery, World Nature, World Celebration, and even a small stretch of World Showcase. As you find each one, place the corresponding sticker on your board. And here’s the best part—you don’t have to find them all to claim your prize.

When you’re ready, just bring your completed (or partially completed) board to a redemption location such as Disney Traders, Gateway Gifts, Creations Shop, or World Traveler, and you’ll receive a spooky little keepsake to commemorate your hunt.

This year’s version brings a couple of changes. In addition to the earlier kickoff date, there’s also a slight bump in price—keeping in line with recent increases for EPCOT’s festival scavenger hunts. But even with the higher cost, fans of the fall season and Disney collectibles likely won’t mind one bit.

Double the Fun with EPCOT’s Festival Hunts

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit runs concurrently with Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak, another scavenger hunt tied to the Food & Wine Festival. Between the two, there’s plenty of opportunity for guests—especially younger ones—to stay engaged as they explore the different lands of EPCOT. And let’s be honest, adults will probably be just as into it. Who doesn’t love a little friendly pumpkin hunt?

Halloween at Walt Disney World Just Keeps Getting Better

While EPCOT embraces autumn with its own playful spin, over at Magic Kingdom, Halloween is going full throttle. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning for select nights from August 15 through October 31, 2025. It’s the perfect pairing with EPCOT’s pumpkin festivities.

If you’re planning a visit, here’s what you can expect at the Not-So-Scary bash: trick-or-treating across the park, rare character sightings, fireworks during Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, and the ever-popular Boo-To-You Halloween Parade featuring the Headless Horseman himself. The party also brings exclusive snacks, eerie dance parties, and themed merchandise you won’t find anywhere else.

And yes—costumes are absolutely encouraged for all ages!

One More Reason to Visit This Fall

With Magic Kingdom throwing a full-blown Halloween celebration and EPCOT delivering charming interactive fun like Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, autumn is hands-down one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World. The weather is slightly cooler, the decorations are everywhere, and there’s just something extra magical in the air.

So whether you’re team parade and fireworks or team scavenger hunt and snacks, there’s no wrong way to do Disney Halloween. Just make sure you plan ahead—these experiences, especially the Halloween Party, can sell out quickly.

And don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for those pumpkins… Pluto’s counting on you!
