Disney just announced the return of a park parade, but fans aren’t exactly happy.

Classic dark rides and thrilling, highly-themed roller coasters are Disney’s “bread and butter,” but there’s far more to enjoy during a trip to Disney World or Disneyland than theme park attractions. Disney’s theme parks also boast an impressive lineup of live experiences too. These can range from theater shows to nighttime firework extravaganzas.
Some of Disney’s most popular shows include Fantasmic!, which can be found at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, as well as Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and Luminous: The Symphony of Us at EPCOT.
Parades also make up a significant chunk of Disney’s theme park offerings. These typically run multiple times during the day, making it easier for guests to catch them as they explore Disneyland Park or Magic Kingdom. The same is true for Disney’s international resorts as well.
But what happens when fans push back against the return of a Disney parade?

Not everybody is thrilled by the return of “A Million Splashes of Colour.” Disneyland Paris news organization DLP Report broke the news in a post on X, which received dozens of comments. Some were positive about the return of A Million Splashes of Colour, though most were pretty negative, confused, angry, or a mixture of all three.
“Chat wait does this mean we are getting the shitty decorations back for a 3rd year,” asked one X user. “All that time since last edition and they still didn’t manage to finish painting the floats” joked another.
Others chimed in with advice. “Hopefully they improve the dance routine leading the parade,” said one user.
The parade launched in early 2024 and wrapped up its brief run in September of the same year. A Million Splashes of Colour received mixed reviews during its original run, with some calling it unfinished.
In fairness, Disneyland Paris has been able to make a name for itself when it comes to live entertainment, just not this specific parade. A number of incredible shows have debuted in recent years, including TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure as well as The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands.
Disneyland Paris also experimented with the world of Alice in Wonderland for an intense stunt show featuring acrobatics and BMX riders called Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland.
Like its American counterparts, lots of changes are in store for Disneyland Paris. Numerous new locations and attractions are currently in development, including a new land based on Frozen.
Disneyland Paris will also be getting its own log flume attraction, though it won’t be inspired by The Princess and the Frog. Instead, Disneyland Paris’ water ride will take notes from The Lion King, sending riders down pride rock on an all-new adventure.
Disneyland Paris’ second theme park, Walt Disney Studios, will also be getting a new name that better aligns with the direction the resort is headed. Walt Disney Studios will be known as Disney Adventure World once these upcoming projects are completed.
