Ransomware group Anubis has claimed Disneyland Paris as its latest hacking victim. According to a report from Hackread.com, Anubis stole approximately 64GB of data from Disney’s European theme park resort.
Anubis describes the incident as the largest data leak in Disneyland Park’s history, stating that 39,000 files were obtained. These files include details about construction and renovation projects for the resort and popular rides and attractions at Disneyland Paris, ranging from Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to Crush’s Coaster and Phantom Manor.
The group is a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) operation that first emerged in late 2024. Anubis operates with a profit-sharing model for affiliates. Since the data breach, files have been uploaded to Anubis’ site.
Anubis teased the Disneyland Paris breach on the group’s X account earlier in June, claiming the event would “make headlines.” The hack certainly has, with news sites now extensively covering the incident. While a lot of data was allegedly stolen, it is unclear if any visitor or other personal information was acquired.
Disneyland Paris has yet to confirm or deny whether data was stolen officially.
The Walt Disney Company faced a significant cyber attack last summer, which resulted in thousands of files being taken. The company’s Slack was breached, leaving thousands of channels open and exposed to hackers. The operation was achieved by a group named NullBulge.
This data breach included private and sensitive materials, along with company data.

Disneyland Paris opened in 1992. Originally, the resort was home to just one theme park, Disneyland Park, but it later expanded in 2002 with a second theme park. This park is known as Walt Disney Studios and was built similarly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney MGM Studios). It was intended to give guests a behind-the-scenes look at how films are produced.
The park even features copies of two of the most popular rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Much like Downtown Disney at Disneyland or Disney Springs at Walt Disney World, guests visiting Disneyland Paris can enjoy various shopping and dining experiences at Disney Village. This outdoor shopping and dining hub features renowned brands and eateries, allowing visitors to enjoy their time before or after the parks.
