You’re comparing the prices of a Disney park in California to the prices of a Universal park in Florida. Can you make the same affordability claim about Universal Studios in California, though?

  2. OndDisneyFan

It’s a Disney “Premium”, something that comes once a year. If you attend any type of Broadway theatre, Popular concert, Championship sporting event, etc. then you are going to “Pay” to be there. It’s isn’t rocket science that “special events” cost more than regular days and nights at Disney. They are a “Premium Event” that have a limited amount of audience availability. The expenses in production, entertainment, and special effects for these evenings are the what you are paying for. These special events also sell out months before they happen so the “surprising cost” of the event isn’t what really is the issue here, it’s poor planning and buying tickets before they sell-out.

Disney premium pricing is the norm, what would have been wrong would be if Disney did not charge premium pricing for this event but continued on all others including high volume days.

  4. Anne

I wish Disney would say “no” to the rainbow alphabet people, period.

      Go piss up a rope.

      1. Tony

So you like climbing ropes eh?

Your rock is calling, go crawl under it

      1. Cool

Anne is fat old and bitter. She needs to go back to her rock.

    3. Cool

      Fascist

So someone is considered fascist for not placating to the homosexual community? I would rather have morals and get called names than support that garbage.

No one is asking you to participate in another lifestyle against your will. If your religion tells you to hate a particular segment of society based on who they choose to love, then that’s not a religion Jesus would approve of. I’d rather live a genuinely inclusive life than twist religious dogma to fit a mindset that cherrypicks who is worthy of love and respect.

If I said I’d rather be considered a heathen than placate to an institution that believes in an invisible man in the sky and is also proven to be rife with corruption and pedophiles, you wouldn’t be offended or think I’m making sweeping generalizations, right?

Who are you calling immoral, Notzee? Perhaps others think you’re immoral and that your miserable lifestyle is garbage. Get a life.

Since the likelihood of Disney saying “no” to the LGBTQ+ community is pretty much zilch, I hope this means we won’t be seeing you in the parks at all for the foreseeable future. Please keep that personal boycott going. It benefits us all. Truly. Thank you for your service.

It won’t be long before all the gay stuff is gone. Look at how all the other companies have changed their stance. Including Target! So I will just go watch Blazing Saddles a few times and wait it out.

        1. Spank You Very Much

Trust me, no company has changed its stance permanently. Any appearance to that effect is strictly performative “under his eye” and merely temporary, if not an outright facade. When the political pendulum swings back the other way, which it inevitably will, so many restrictions will be rolled back or reversed.

Wrong. Disney will not only say no to the rainbow mafia but the rainbow mafia will one day go the way of the dodo thanks to a little thing we call AIDS.

        1. Jenna

No wonder you choose to remain anonymous. You show your ignorance willfully. Like any disease, some are more at risk than others, but anyone is susceptible to getting AIDS, including heterosexuals. It makes just as much sense to say that all smokers will one day go the way of the dodo thanks to a little thing called cancer. Smokers might be more at risk, but cancer is never a guarantee. It’s a crapshoot and could come for anyone. However, you’ll believe whatever makes you feel better about your life, clearly. I hope that’s a comfy echo chamber you dwell in.

          1. Spank You Very Much

Yes to all of the above, plus Disney won’t back down from its convictions. For one thing, they’d never hire a MAGA cultist as a CEO. I’ll make any wager on that.

          2. Anonymous

I stand by everything I say and some are completely immune to AIDS like me. The rainbow mafia’s promiscuity always leads to AIDS and there also will be a MAGA running Disney soon and I have wagered on it. Also, Walt Disney himself would be MAGA.

          3. Spank You Very Much

Bahahahaha! Wow, that echo chamber Jenna mentioned is real! Your delusional stance is adorable in its naïveté and entertaining in its unintentional comedy. No wonder your pointlessly persistent keyboard warrior crusade against corporate greed is the laughing stock of these comment threads. You have no life outside of this site and feel utterly powerless in general to make change happen for yourself or the causes you believe in. Your only noteworthy achievement, however questionable, is keeping us amused. Thank you for your service. LOL

            Have fun being deported next.

          5. Spank You Very Much

I’ll keep watching the news for that. Can’t wait to see my name in a national broadcast. Have fun living in your perpetual state of delusional anonymity. Bahahaha!

  5. Jimbo

Poor comparison. You left out the travel costs between the two locations. The option to choose one over the other doesn’t exist in reality for those who live near Disneyland in
California. Using 30 days of a pass only works for someone who lives near that park.
Maybe you should check the prices for the Halloween or Christmas events. The letter community isn’t being treated any differently from those events. IMHO they are all one time to do events, Been there. Done that. No rush to do it again.

  6. Momma C

This event costs the same as any other after hours event held by Disney like Halloween Oofie Boogie nights, Star Wars nights, Couples nights, etc. You can either pay and go, or not. It’s up to you, but Star Wars fans don’t claim that Disney is trying to price them out because of the $180 price for after hours event nights.

  8. Cool

Prices went way up for everything here at DLR in California. Disney didn’t say ‘no thank you’ to anyone.

  9. Cool

“$170 plus tax” The price is $169 and there are no taxes on tickets in California. The story gets almost nothing right. 😛
