We’ll go first! One of our top summer tips? Rope drop and recharge. Arrive early to hit the big rides with minimal waits, then take a midday break back at your resort (or a cool, quiet spot like the upstairs at Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom!). You’ll feel refreshed and ready for nighttime magic
What’s your go-to park hack? Let’s hear those planning secrets!
For WDW - Early start, leave during afternoon showers (expect them about 3 pm every day on summer!). They can be heavy with flooding and lightening so good time to take a rest. Supportive shoes. And I always carry a couple of ziplocks for bringing home snacks and leftovers.
If you plan on getting on a wet ride like Kali river rafts, bring extra underwear! With the humidity here you can’t count on everything drying, even if you sit in the sun. So being able to change out of wet underwear, makes all the difference in the world!
Also, we get the current popcorn bucket (not the big collector ones) because you can refill it for just over two dollars. And it is for the whole time that they offer that specific bucket, which is often months. Stick the empty bucket in your backpack for an inexpensive snack during the day. Or like we do is get some on the way out so we snack on the drive home!
Most of all, bring your patience, your flexibility, and your imagination!
I haven’t been to Universal’s new parks yet, but friends who have been there are pretty positive about their visits.
Disney rode the wave a bit longer then they should have. I have been to DWD numerous times, and the latest visits are not what the first few were. Just about everything has dropped. You see more lights burned out, chipped paint, declining service in all but the top restaurants, cast members who are obviously being overworked, and an attitide from the “guests” that belies a decline in the American family. There’s too much of an attitude of entitlement from many.
Disney tears down beloved rides in the name of ‘diversity” and wokeness, (see Tiana’s “broken” adventure) not to mention to remove as much of Walt’s original legacy as they can….and then replaces them with a far lessor experience…..
…and it takes them forever and a week to do it. Example: Tron Light Cycle taking 7 years to complete, and the Epcot “Highschool cafeteria”…..
No one asked for whats about to happen to Frontierland…
Universal adds value and capacity as it ADDS RIDES & experiences….

Alot don’t know, but Winnie the Pooh has a Meet and Greet at the back of the shop in England, in Epcot.
