If you were hoping to meet a certain Star Wars icon on your next Disney trip, we have some bad news.
Star Wars meet-and-greets at Disney parks have transformed in recent years. What were once static encounters with Chewbacca or Darth Vader have given way to dynamic, ever-changing appearances.
Depending on the park, guests might spot characters from The Mandalorian or Ahsoka, with surprise walkarounds—especially in Galaxy’s Edge—replacing fixed schedules to heighten immersion and deliver more spontaneous, story-driven moments.

As of today, however, there’s one less Star Wars character opportunity at one Disney park.
Ahsoka Departs Disney Park
Ahsoka Tano—Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan and a fan-favorite from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Ahsoka, where she’s played by Rosario Dawson—arrived at Disneyland Paris for a limited-time stint on May 4, also known as Star Wars Day. As planned, her visit was brief, with today (May 11) marking her final day at the theme park.
📍Today we say goodbye to Ashoka. Thank you for visiting our corner of the galaxy!
During her short run, Ahsoka alternated appearances with The Mandalorian and Grogu. It’s not totally clear when or if she’ll be back for more meet-and-greets.
‘Star Wars’ at Disneyland Paris
At Disneyland Paris, Star Wars fans can immerse themselves in a galaxy far, far away through a range of themed attractions and experiences. In Discoveryland, guests can ride Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain, a high-speed coaster that sends them into battle alongside X-wings and TIE fighters.
For character encounters, Starport in Discoveryland provides opportunities to meet iconic figures such as Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and Rey. The Star Traders boutique also stocks a wide array of Star Wars merchandise, from costumes to collectibles. Until later this month, guests can also encounter the lovable BDX droids pottering around Discoveryland (the park’s version of Tomorrowland).
Disney hasn’t addressed the plan in several years, with the space now seemingly allocated to the upcoming land inspired by The Lion King. Rumors have since surfaced that Disney is considering shifting the concept to Disneyland Park, but nothing has come to fruition.
