Not bad on 5/5 either. Nonetheless, what is the point of the reservation system?? Should never reach the point of closure. Most with reservations are not coming in individual cars so this should never happen if the reservations are meant to control capacity, however, appears just to be a money grab. Before reservations it was rare for Park to have this problem, even when there weren’t levels of annual passes and if it happened, you didn’t get a nasty letter for not showing up for reservation. Being caught in massive traffic jam when vehicles caught fire, missing paid for event and receiving no guidance or info from Disney, we left after 2 hours in traffic. Insult to injury to receive nasty email saying we didn’t fulfill res – costs Disney absolutely nothing to forgive non-attendance when the fault is not with Pass member, even if not Park’s fault either. Spoke to guest relations personally on next visit and to someone on line and their answer is – oh well, you still have 2 more before blocked for month. Not the point!! We drove over an hour to get there, spent 2 hours in traffic, lost $50 on event paid for months before and Disney can’t forgive missed reservation when they closed parking lot and didn’t notify of reroute??? Only blogs informed of fire. Definitely left sour taste and as someone who has been going since 55 and has had pass since beginning, not sure there will be a renewal. 😡
