This resort fee thing is ridiculous even the small hotels in Kissimmee want a resort fee. The conditions most of those hotels are not so Great. Wish they would of really would’ve redone those hotels, not the way they’ve done it. It’s really crazy. Orlando is out of wack, just like it’s all over in many places.

Nope, sorry, these aren’t hidden fees, they’re fees listed but lots of people don’t read and they won’t take responsibility for that.

Resort fees are a rip off, a way for hotels to raise $$ per night, per room. Resort fees need to be outlawed and instead allow hotels to charge for the “extras” like the gym.

They are fees found in small print. It’s the classic bait and switch. All fees listed should be front page same font and size as well as color. Full disclosure but still buyer beware before you hit the final purchase button.

Lots of class actions in the past have caused things to be upfront in many other markets.

Call it what it is the resort fee is just a way to make the room fee smaller sice that’s what people look at. Bottom line there needs to be a total room cost subtotal before taxes and that’s what the consumer sees.

These FEES are not going away soon! Our research has found that said fees are added only to pad the profit of the actual owners. As a way for them to recoup the fees that they pay to the rental agency.
