Great idea, but I bet it will be short lived due to people taking advantage by saying they will be dining at one of those locations only to head to the monorail to get to MK or Epcot and avoid the parking fee, which will end up flooding the Polynesian parking areas and not allowing parking for those with actual reservations to stay or dine. We have seen it too many times, I bet it even gets a Tik-Tok cheater bragging about it.
I wish Disney would solve it’s problems with the hotel parking. So many of the hotels have great bars and lounges that don’t take reservations, but we avoid them because of the parking problems. Many times we love to visit the lounges after our park visits. We are not going to pay to Uber back to our car at the parks after the parks close, so we avoid the hotels. Disney is missing this opportunity for more revenue. Perhaps Disney could require proof of a hotel reservation on Disney grounds or an annual pass. These guests don’t pay additional fees for parking anyway and are unlikely to try scamming the system to obtain free parking for the parks.
They should stop charging for parking period. If you eat at one of the hotels no parking fee. I get a whole cake from the hotel on my way home. I also like to shop at the hotel stores for rare merchandise

Everytime we go they always ask if we have reservations and also tell us to show them and if not you have to leave

What a mess for the TRUE guest of Polynesian. Already limited parking. Now almost impossible.
