Years ago, I worked merchandise in what was then MGM studios in Florida.
The Star Wars shop was was in my area, but I had a different shop .
When it was ” Star Wars weekends ” that area became a ” 3 ring circus .” Everyone pitched in to make that area come alive and of course entertain the guests.
Whatever Security had to do , I am sure they had a good reason. The Walt Disney Company doesn’t share everything it does to the media, but safety & ” good show ” , are usually the key reasons.
While disappointing for many fans, the decision was proper.
Given the popularity of the franchise, perhaps Disney should consider expanding the Star Wars themed area within Hollywood studios. Similar to the Harry Potter themed areas at Universal. What do you think?
