Disney Officially Purchases Land To Build New Location in North Carolina

Comments for Disney Officially Purchases Land To Build New Location in North Carolina

The new Magic Kingdom Central Plaza area between Main Street, U.S.A. and Cinderella Castle is now open to guests. The new landscaping is the first milestone of a multi-phase project that features sculpted gardens, charming fountains and winding pathways. This area is designed to be reminiscent of castle gardens and offers extraordinary viewing locations for parades and fireworks. Magic Kingdom is located at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. I went to college near here, and it would have been great to have a piece of Disney there!

It would be nice of they built something for the people who aren’t millionaires.

More Disney Utopia, designed for brain dead liberals. It will lose value rapidly. First bad storm the libs will be running back to NY and CA.

Another of the many examples of Disney catering to the wealthy and forgetting about the common people that made Disney what it is today.

All the years I’ve lived here in my state, It’s another sign of things yet to come. First time a Disney-themed like neighborhood & community would ever be built here. But for the price of it & if any accessibility for people like myself would be able to drive through it & be awe-inspired. I’m a Disney-fan at heart & will continue to be. Be great if a theme park-like train would be included so railfans besides myself could ride on it.

Just imagine what its going to do for property values nearby. Rent, which is already insane in RDU area, will go up even higher. It will push out all those who can’t afford the property taxes that will sky rocket, and it will make for a playground for the wealthy. Raleigh has already fallen in with this pattern and so have the surrounding areas, this will truly exacerbate the problem. Middle class is all but erased in NC. It is only the rich and the poor and sadly, the poor don’t get a say so.
