I hope the Tangled remake is cancelled permanently. I didn’t care for the original, I never intended to watch the remake.
Also I will not watch the Lilo and Stitch remake, let the little weak minded nostalgia sheeple give Disney millions for it. Further I will not watch the Moana remake.
Why would Disney not look to NEW STORIES brought to the theaters by animation? Animated characters don’t go on X and rant about something only half the public appreciates. They don’t embarrass the studio or go off and do questionable movies. Animation allows children as well as adults to use their imagination.
If Disney can STOP trying to make their movies a political statement, and return to the Walt Disney tradition of telling a great family story, it may attract mainstream America back; otherwise, as long as tries to appeal to only a small per centage of the population, liberal extreamism, that is what it will get, a minimal box office revenue.
Disney: We’ve got some great movies coming out! Remakes of animated films! Sequels of animated films! Reboots of films from the 80s! Why would we need new ideas?
Exactly. It’s the same principle they use for the parks. Retheme and reimagine the classic attractions instead of creating new and fresh attractions. All they end up with are rides with brand new animatronics that are failing to operate.
Jamaican is a good start. Now make her transgender. The horse officially identifies as a dog, but behaves like a cat. The stepmother is not evil, she just had a bad childhood, she is the real hero. Flinn Ryder is rescued by Rapunzel and only appears for five minutes in the movie. He is of course unimportant AND stupid AND evil, because he is male and white.
Disney needs to stick to the source material, if they are going to make live-action versions. Very few have been successful because of this folly. Live-action also needs to be…live action, not mostly CGI. They did a great job with Cinderella, and Aladdin was good. The rest, not so much. I loved that they did a search for little known actors with Aladdin rather than putting “Names” in the leading roles. I’m excited about Lilo & Stitch (b/c it is keeping with the source material), but I will never pay to watch Snow White. I understand they want to push boundaries and expand representation, but why can’t they create new stories with diversity and substance rather than taking away what made the original movies so beloved?

STOP. WITH. THE. REMAKES. ALREADY.

Disney merely cancelled a remake I never planned to watch in the first place. Good riddance to another cash grab remake.

Han not solo
Exactly 💯% you’d think they’d learn that from snow white

A tangled mess is what it is so far. Stay away from live action remakes

And I was sooooo looking forward to a Jamaican Rapunzel with a weave slinging her dreads around.
