Silly people… alot of folks will do both Disney and Universal. My family will be doing both. I am expecting high capacity and I am thrilled to see Disney is ramping up to handle the traffic.
What I meant to say was no out of state or country person even knows much about Disney’s water parks. Even still there is volcano bay. Epic universe….it’s over for disney currently and the best they can do is say everything is open oooh look our waterpark??? This is pretty funny honestly. I personally don’t see disney recovering some of their crowds until they have more to offer.
Last time we were at Disney was two years ago. We had way too many issues with rides being broken down and losing our que for those rides. Staff had issues with their hand held computers and the food lines were slow. Also, I’ve never seen the parks so dirty. Used to be it was a spotless environment that kept you immersed in the experience. Nothing like walking past a dirty diaper or a pile of melting ice cream!!
Disney won’t be able to undercut epic universe with this their other parks being open are not new they’ve been around epic universe I’d completely new never seen before. Universal should not be worried. They’re going to draw a lot of people away from disney with this.
If given a choice, I would opt to stay in the Universal hotels or area and take a day trip to Disney. But alas, I would most likely just skip Disney altogether.
Disney forgets that they have lost a lot of European vacationers this year. They have lost a lot of families in the US due to high prices and the complicated ways to get on rides. No one wants to be stressed out with having to schedule rides multiple times a day when you are with your family. They have raised prices so high that there are a lot that can’t afford to go any longer. Plus food and drink prices are ridiculous.we had year passes for 25 years but no longer.
this just proves disney is all about money. Disney could of had all 6 parks open before Epic but choose to just crowd all their guests into 5 parks with 1/3 of the rides down a lot.
Disney thought they were invincible with their “woke” agenda and movies? WRONG Disney. Why would I go to Disney just because they finally did the right thing and opened all the parks when so many more rides are either shut down or in need of repair? More so when people defecate in the air lines I have no interest in going to Disney at all! Universal here I come.
Disney started doing too much, too quickly @ the expense of their customers. Raising prices for all their building, and, add-ons. Years ago you rarely ever heard of rides breaking down, people getting injured, things deteriorating, etc. Disney had great maintenance. Now, w/all the money they are shelling out for new builds, etc, they are not maintaining their properties the way they did, all @ the expense of customers. Universal did, and is doing it the correct way. They might raise some prices, but definitely not like Disney. They should have had the water parks both open all along in the hot months. It’s deplorable in that summer heat, but, that’s when the kids are out of school.

Great move by Disney. Between this, more adult only locations and revamping the outdated Rivers of America we are in the right direction people!

This is proof that competition is good. Remember that Disney could’ve done this at any time.

Exactly- love the competition- we win…

I We’ll never, ever. Step one foot into universal I hate that place. To me universal is not family friendly at least in my view.
