Unfortunately Disney is way more expensive than it used to be. 2011 I paid £5,000 for 3 weeks for 2 adults and 2 Children at Port Orleans including Virgin Flights in late August with 3 weeks access to Disney Parks, Car hire and The Disney Dining Plan. Just looked now and for just two people without flights car hire and dining plan it’s £7,211. I assume from 29th we will get quick service included but you will still have to upgrade to the Dinnig plan which will add £1,600 then a car and flights another £2,500. So in total £11,300 for just two adults and no grown up kids tagging along! Now three weeks at Aventura £2,300 add tickets £900 and it’s a whopping £3,900 cheaper to do Universal! I will be going to Universal next time thank you very much. Disney have blown it for me. I hope Disney suffer and start to reduce prices. If they hadn’t spent so much money on Fox and Hulu and Disney + prices could have been more competitive. Oh looking forward to Universal UK too. Be nice if they did an Annual Pass to include Florida too.
Even though I am a major Disney fan, I am also a shareholder. We didn’t get dividends for over 2 yrs and only just recently received one, which was very small. Now with shares being at their almost lowest ever point, higher costs to visit is concerning.
Higher costs are pushing middle and lower income households from visiting. This is not what Walt wanted. Iger said he’s aiming for higher income households. I wonder if he realizes that these people are 1 & done and will go to other locations.
I’m not going back to Disney. Prices are way too high and included perks like fast pass are gone. A discount on a gift card doesn’t come close to making up for the exorbitant price increases on everything Disney. This has been going on for some time. Way before Trump was president. .So don’t try to use that excuse.
Excellent comment! Trump’s administration has nothing to do with Disney’s skyrocketing price crisis. I say that as a WDW Passholder for the last seven years consecutively and an additional 2 years prior to a short break. So 9 years in total.
A Disney vacation isn’t cheap. My family has had to take a hard look at our options. A week in WDW is equivalent to going to Europe. With all the construction, 2025 is a big NO for a week in WDW. Although we miss the nostalgia and the emotional connections we once had with Disney, we give Bob Iger all the credit for making us evaluate our alternatives. It’s a great big beautiful country and world on the horizon.
Used to be an AP. I opted to put my money elsewhere. My daughter is still a DVC member, so we go to the resorts, but never the parks.
I miss WDW, but pre 2020 when things were still FUN and phones were optional, not necessary. More affordable as well. However, I will get my Disney “fix” by staying DVC, and resort hopping. When not at a DVC resort, I cruise around the world…for more than double the time and less than the price of a 5 night stay at even ASM.
There is nothing at Disney World worth the massive cost. What it would cost a family of 4 for 7 days and 6 nights and staying at a Disney Resort, that same money could take you on a wonderful vacation somewhere else in the world. Paying thousands to stand in line for hours for a ride that is a few minutes at best or breaks down before you can get on the ride is just nuts now. The only magic Disney and Iger offers is emptying your bank account. I’m surprised Iger hasn’t started charging for the air you breath when you enter a park.
I have never met, seen or worked with such a extremely narcissistic individual to justify the costs that will also increase his annual bonus.
This is the final straw of our over 42 plus years of WDW, Annual passes and family vacations.
I should have seen this coming when the major increases for Annual passes.
Farewell, so long, See You Pal.
Walts Dream is dead.
A place that people can afford where daddy and daughter can have fun and do things together.
Sad ending…
Yeah hes made the rich richer in terms of stock buybacks, while his cast members struggle. There is a charity specifically for disney cast members who dont make squat. Orlando is becoming more and more of a dump
No matter how much the price goes up, there are those who have the money to continue buying and it will hardly bother them. These premier passes that sell out and the crowds seen in the parks is an example. If these people can do that, good for them, I’m not in that category. I wish I could go again with my kids but until then I look for alternative vacation options.

Between their prices and their politics, count me out. Used to go to WDW once or even twice a year.

I have the same sentiments. But find it hard to break away due to those lifelong memories and our youngest son still at home.

Until bob iger is gone my family and a whole lot of other people I know won’t go back. He’s done too much damage to the brand

The entire “C” Suite at the Walt Disney Company needs to be purged otherwise Walt’s vision for Disney will be gone forever.

I will go back when the woke agenda goes away. Just a theme park for families and no politics please!
