I believe a lot of these issues listed in the article could have also been avoided if thos individuals listened to safety announcements. These include the moving walkway, motion of the ride and effects. As an avid universal attendee I can say people in the Harry Potter lands will blatantly disregard a lot of rules and safety steps universal has taken, simply because they want to be closer to the magic and experience things that are not meant to be a hands on experience. There are definitely always things that have the potential to be an issue, but if everyone followed the rules they are less likely to have any issues at the park.
Lawyers making money on false claims of injury! Costs everyone more money to do everything… sign a paper when you enter park u take responsibility for being old and feeble and maybe shouldn’t be on this ride! Sick of all the frivolous lawsuits in America!
I’m an AP at Universal Orlando. The rules are posted everywhere but I’ve seen people that bypass reading or listening to the workers. Most of these accidents are preventable. And the 20 year old that lost his voice? Did the dementors took his speech? That one is a very strange!
I have ridden these rides for years, but as I get older, I realize that my body has limitations. I don’t feel it is safe to put an older body through the stress of a ride. Maybe the parks need to consider a signed disclaimer beyond a certain age.
Every year the prices go up? Why? Because of false claims like these and the ambulance chasers that represent them. Simple answer? Big sign at entrance! RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
