  1. The velociraptors are based off Deinonychus. So everything you see is that except the name. Crichton just thought the name sounded cooler and better and Spielberg agreed.
    The dinosaurs don’t look like the “real life counterparts” because they aren’t that
    They are genetically modified theme park monsters. With dna sequences filled in from other animals.
    You shouldn’t critique the franchise when you don’t actually know the basics about it and it shows.
