I have to agree with the guest here, I certainly do understand the need for safety checks, but there also needs to be a better solution. Now in this case the CM was a decent enough person, although probably should have left immediately, but imagine if a predator managed to get into this position, this could have gone far differently.
First off there should never be a situation where a CM enters a room by themselves to do a safety check, I mean imagine if they entered the room and the guest had a legally owned gun, of course they can’t bring that into the parks and such, but this could be dangerous for the CM.
Also, if the safety lock is on, come back later unless there is reason to suspect something, such as the safety lock has been on for more than say 12 hours or something. In such circumstances, it would probably be appropriate to have medical personnel with the CM, as the person could have suffered from something.
But again, having them enter alone for a safety check is a bad idea.
If security is entering every room every day that’s a lie. I stayed at animal Kingdom for 5 days and in a 1 bedroom with my daughter and we never left the room except for the last night we went to Disney Springs and we had the sign on our door the whole time because we ended up getting sick and not going to the parks. And no one ever came to our room to do a security check ever!!! I would take the sign off when I needed garbage pick up and coffee. I live in Florida so we bought our own food and had no reason to leave the room. And security checks should be done by a male and a female. Disney should call the person staying in the room first because they have their number when they check in. Before they send security. So they don’t walk in on their members doing something that they is private.
