Totally true. They just don’t get it. As a shareholder, we are seeing it in dividends. I go to resorts (DVC member, too), but I don’t go to the parks anymore. 2 reasons: the costs of tickets vs. available rides and not being able to get DAS access for my disability.
We need to boycott, to make Disney change.

I am currwntly sitting at orlando airport after my first trip back to disney since i was 13 which is 40 years ago. I can tell you after spwnding the money i did 2k for 2 adults 1 child, i will NEVER return. They know full well they cannot sustain the volume of visitors they so daily and still provide a valued experience. Even with the lifhtening multi pass you are lucky to get into 7 attractions. Everything the sell is way above market price. . They gouge you every chance they can… i took my grandson as a reward but if im being gonest dor the lecek he enjoyed it i shoukdve passed on disney and gone to italy. That wouldve been cheaper…

  3. We had resident passes for about 20 years. After our last trip and not even being able to get on our favorite rides we will not be going back. We will be experiencing Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Great Wolf Lodges and National Parks instead. Disney is now too expensive , too complicated, and not fun anymore.

Price of a Disney vacation is a big factor. But so is Disney’s insistence in adding Woke content to everything, which has reached the level of “disturbing and annoying,” especially with their main audience being children. The final element here is the lack of a blockbuster hit (also due to Woke content), which in the past, compelled my children to push us to “go to WDW to see Stitch, or Ariel, or Simba.” Yes, they are older but they also are not as captivated by the newer releases and characters. Disney has misfired on many cylinders these past 10 years. I grew up with Walt Disney in our living room every Sunday evening. I am hoping that Bob Iger’s replacement can undo the damage and reputational harm when he or she takes over. If the new CEO continues as-is, Disney is truly in a death-spiral from which they can never recover.

Only the filthy rich like Disney themselves can afford to go to their woke sbd dangerous theme parks. Walt would be so horrified by what his family and Iger has done.

Disney: Let’s raise the prices again to cover cost of constant construction work!
Also Disney: Why is attendance so low?

$600 five years 2 land 1 world no hotel/transportation. Another five years, hotel/transportation still only 1 world 2 land.

Sorry for confusing. Phone having issues. Third time attempting to type this.

Income minus cost of living expenses leaves very little for anything else. After saving for 5 years, I have $600. Disneyland is $120 per PERSON…per DAY. Disney World is $200 per PERSON…per DAY.

With Disney constant price hikes, another 5 years would only cover adding in hotel & transportation.

I really don’t know if attendance has been down. From what I’ve been reading from Florida residents, the lines are still long and you’re lucky to get a few rides in a whole day. Maybe Disney is trying to thin the masses by pricing it so high. It’s been years since I’ve been but I remember it was shoulder to shoulder most of the time. I was miserable. You could barely move and then you’d get run over by someone flying by on their scooter.
The main thing I’ve seen people complain about is the changes in the DAS. People are so mad that disabled people can’t use it now. Most people in wheelchairs shouldn’t have an issue being in line as they can sit the whole time. I saw one lady complain that they wouldn’t let her get the pass and she has issues where if she gets too hot, she’ll get lightheaded and pass out and it takes hours for her to feel better. I’m sorry, but a lot of people get that way. There were some that were legit concerns. One person said that they had Crohn’s disease so they never know when they may have to get out of line, and then they’ll be at the back of the line when they come back. That system was being abused so much though. I saw an “influencer” telling people how to fake it and what to say in order to get the DAS. My daughter gets it due to autism and the lines were almost as long as the walk up line.
