A Walt Disney World Resort guest recently shared photos of an unexpected visitor on the Toy Story Mania! attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Toy Story Midway Mania! opened in Pixar Place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2008, predating its current home in Toy Story Land. To integrate the interactive 4-D attraction into Toy Story Land, Walt Disney Imagineers rerouted the queue and created a new entrance in the Pixar-themed land.
The attraction’s former entrance still exists as an emergency exit. They also shortened the name to Toy Story Mania!, removing the “midway.

As immersive as Walt Disney World Resort can be, it’s impossible to ignore the presence of Central Florida wildlife at the Disney parks. Small alligators are occasionally spotted in theme park waterways, and every Disney Resort hotel guest has spotted at least one small lizard skittering around outside their room.
Last week, Redditor u/sandy_shark903 and other Walt Disney World Resort guests were greeted by a wild resident on Toy Story Mania! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Disney Park guest shared these photos of a bird perched on top of a setpiece inside the Toy Story Land attraction:

Disney Parks fans were surprised to see a bird inside a fully indoor attraction rather than something with a partially outdoor queue like “it’s a small world” or Peter Pan’s Flight.
“I could understand a ride like It’s a Small World but Toy Story Mania is crazy,” u/hello56845864 commented.

“I imagine the bird is thinking ‘I really got myself into a pickle this time,'” u/SalamiMommie replied.
Some Disney Parks fans joked that the bird was a new target to shoot on the interactive video game attraction.
“How many points?” u/conscious_town_1454 asked.

“You unlocked the bonus round,” u/kittenmcmuffenz replied.
It’s unclear if Disney cast members were able to remove the bird from Toy Story Mania!. However, Walt Disney World Resort has procedures for safely managing its wild residents–including a black bear that visited Magic Kingdom Park last year!
