You mean Cenozoic life. Dinosaurs like T . rex, Triceratops, and Gallimimus all lived during the Cretaceous. I would have preferred Jurassic Park to have been named Mesozoic Park to cover the full span of dinosaur existence, except for modern birds, or simply have been named Dinosaur Park.
If it’s the final film that’s okay, but another franchise looks to be made from the looks of it with all new cast. Keep the dinosaurs in it to keep the audience in suspense and gigantic protagonist dinosaurs to keep everyone on the edge of their seat thriller movie saga.
Love the idea, would be great to see those feathered dinosaurs reverting to their wild types. The franchise & spinoffs will always be a $$ maker, especially in the toys shops (big kids too!)

You really need to get one thing straight if you’re going to talk about these animals. There is no such thing as a ‘saber-toothed tiger’, the accepted terminology refers to this creature as a ‘sabre-toothed cat’ eg Smilodon who specialised in taking down the mega fauna of the Pleistocene epoch.
I hate everything I’m hearing about the direction the franchise is heading. The Jurassic World trilogy was top tier. Having the dinosaur escape into the world and naturalize is way more interesting than trying to walk it backwards to a small scale “park/island” trope. I want to see the next step for a Jurassic World.
Example: Blue the more nurturing of the raptor squad is a great parallel to how certain predatory species such as wolves and foxes had more docile leaning characteristics that allowed them to be bred to domestication.
I wanted a domesticated line of raptors descended from Blue to be part of whatever nightmare humankind came up with to exploit dinosaurs in the world.
Another “rare monster in an isolated location” movie is just going backwards.
If you’re going to get rid of the dinosaurs you might as well rename the movies from now on. Unless, you’re talking about the creatures that lived in the oceans during the Jurassic Period. Then it would make sense. if not, change the title to reflect what the movie is really going be it’s main focus. At the end of the day (IMHO) it’s not Jurassic Park without the dinosaurs. Just like it’s not Pirates of the Caribbean without Captain Jack Sparrow.

No!
Cretaceous life is too mundane. It is not alien enough.
Bringing back Neanderthals would be a pale imitation of Planets of the Apes.

You can’t have a Jurassic franchise movievwithout featuring the dinosaurs. Create an entirely new movie with a different title if that’s the case.
Greg
Maybe Ice Age Park? Most of the dino sawrs were from the Cretaceous era. It would not be Jurassic Park without the dinosaurs

The Jurassic franchise have always been about dinosaurs. You can’t have Jurassic without dinosaurs. That is ridiculous.

Give us Jurassic World.

Naw, they won’t do away with the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are what makes the Jurassic movies what they are.

I hope not. I just love the dinosaurs in these movies. I love the Jurassic series and hope they keep making Them.

I love the franchise too, and that’s why I want them to stop.

We don’t want any more movies after Rebirth. The franchise has run its course.
