Do you wanted proof that either this article is fake or — if the article is REAL — the guy is making the whole thing up? Simply look at the timing of it all.

2015: Moana’s trailer (as well as blurbs about the film) is made public.
2016: Moana is released in theaters. It makes lots of money.
2017: Moana is still making money (through merch & video sales).
2018 & 2019: Not much happens with Moana.
2020 through 2022: Other than Moana being on Disney+, not much happens with Moana. Also…there pandemic.
2023: Disney announces plans for Moana series & Moana live-action.
2024: Moana 2 (formally the series)becomes a movie. It still makes money…despite mixed reviews.
    2025: Disney pays Trump $15,000,000.
ALSO, in 2025: This article. Sure, if this is real, the guy started the lawsuit ONE DECADE AFTER Moana was first released. Until this article, NOTHING was mentioned ANYWHERE about this.

If _I_ wrote a story (and showed it to someone in a production studio), I would have contacted that person a soon as I learned my story was in theaters (after learning it was similar to my story). I would have even gathered PROOF to file a lawsuit in the EXACT SAME YEAR!

Interesting how the guy gave his script to someone who moved to Dreamworks (that wasn’t even OWNED by ANY connection with Disney until AFTER the pandemic); yet claims Disney used HIS script (that he never had proof of until the filing of this case).

As I stated: Look at the timeline. Either this article is fake…or the guy is hoping to swindle money from Disney.

It sounds like Mr. Woodall has a case. Kind of reminds me of the controversy surrounding The Lion King vs. Simba, the White Lion.

No it doesn’t. It sounds like a bunch of absolute nothing. Only a moron would take this seriously

Toxic Disney fan alert. Yes, sounds like Mr. Woodall does have a case, especially if he has evidence to prove it. Only a moron would defend Disney. They’re crooked, they’re woke and I hope they lose the lawsuit.

Actually, THAT case was initiated WITHIN a COUPLE YEARS — after people, who knew about Kimba, noticed too many similarities. Not 9ne claimed this OVER a DEVADE.

Besides, the guy who pitched Lion King even ADMITTED that he thought of Lion King after watching the Kimba film.

It’s pretty obvious that Disney is completely out of original ideas so they decide to steal someone elses.
I didn’t even watch Moana 2, I don’t care for another crappy girlboss movie. I won’t be watching the remake either and I highly doubt I’ll watch Moana 3 *if* Disney comes out with it now after the lawsuit. Frankly, I hope Disney does get sued. The more money Disney loses, the better.

Also, what’s the true story about Moana 2? Disney claims it made a bunch of money and that it was #1 movie (just as they claim Mufasa is the #1 movie in the world) but other sources say Moana 2 wasn’t a great success.
