None of those things are being removed, not now nor ever and Splash Mountain was not removed. Disney after I take over will erase the whole Iger era while embracing the good of the Eisner era before Paul Pressler, the loss of Frank Wells, and go back to asking “What would Walt do?” again. No that philosophy did not almost bankrupt Disney in the 1980s.
The only thing I didn’t care about Eisner was when he used Jim Henson’s deathbed to take over Jim Henson Studios. That was a TACKY and EGREGIOUS tactic.
However, he DID allow that company freedom to work on their own projects.
Same with Pixar (who needed funding and a studio). Even though Disney was Pixar’s landlord, Pixar was free to do their own thing.
This is why Studio Ghibili was willing to work with Disney. Disney was focused on families and entertainment!
I wonder what ever happened to Walt’s dream. Oh. That’s right. Iger.
