I hear Rupaul is going to be playing playing Rapunzel and Joe Biden is Mother Gothel. Which, to be fair, would be a lot better than some of the other casting decisions Disney has made recently.
Tangled has the best music of any Disney movie in decades. It surpasses Frozen in so many ways. It’s maybe a little darker which would indicate why Frozen seemed to resonate more. But the metaphor of ring trapped in a tower waiting to start living your life is so powerful and why this is so exciting to see more of Tangled! I can’t wait to for this live action addendum!!
Steve — I mean Annie — is the new owner of Disney…I guess.
After Steve time traveled to the future in the alternate reality, “he” came back to tell us that none of these horrible things going on with Iger’s Disney was really happening. It’s an odd story (if you read “his” comments in many of ItM’s articles) that “Steve” is telling.
Annie is commenting in the same way that Steve started as. Before time traveling to the future, Steve was the new owner of Disney. I guess Annie is now the new owner. It’ll be interesting to see if Annie’s story changes, as well.
I wonder if Steve became Annie via the “All male protagonists are now female.” agenda. I bet you Annie is also non-white. OF course, since “she” is canceling all future remakes, I’m not sure if “she” is the new version of Steve — having been replaced to fit Iger’s (and Kennedy’s) agenda.
If I come across any more of Annie’s comments in other ItM articles, I’ll know more. “Her” comments are practically 100% IDENTICAL to Steve’s original comments (in the earlier ItM articles).
It’s questionable that the “recommended” actors look appropriate for the roles
Sabrina Carpenter is 25, while Rapunzel is turning 18 in the movie. It’s literally one of the major plot points, that now she’s 18 and wants to leave the house for her birthday to see the floating lanterns.
She also just doesn’t have the historical fantasy vibe of the story, or the wide eyed naive personality of Rapunzel, who is excited to ask criminals about their dreams.
Sabrina is absolutely beautiful! But seduction shows up in all of her stage performances.
