Can’t speak about the Matterhorn but I can speak for Flights of Passage it is probably the best ride in all of Disney World and it absolutely does not hurt to ride . With the possible exception being Guardians of the galxy
It’s the bobsleds that make it rough. The old style bobsleds where you sat between another person’s legs were better. These new bobsleds are not comfortable.
I think you’re right. Though to be fair we were younger too…IDK about you but I was in much better shape all around when younger and enjoyed most pits etc…things I don’t anymore. LOL
But I have never liked the seat update other than I definitely wouldn’t be ok sitting in a stranger’s lap or vice versa.
Space Mountain used to be way more fun. Now it is too fast and rough and I don’t like the Star Wars elements that were added to the ride. I will skip it next time. I do still like the Matterhorn!
In 2018 U rode the Matterhorn and said that was the last time. It’s too rough; noticeable compared to more modern rides. When I went to Disneyland last month, Nov, 2024, a relative kept trying to talk me into riding the Matterhirn. No way! My back & neck remember!
It has been made another, but faster. Yes I liked the old asked better, but I think it is better than it was 50 years ago. I love the Matterhorn, as do my wife and daughter. I will always love riding it, until I’m too old and frail to handle it, which I hope is a long time from now. There are many rides that exist that have not aged as well. As you get older, you have to realize that you aren’t as young as you used to be, but don’t blame that on a ride.

Space mountain is a tuff one. First thing I learned was don’t ride first thing in the morning after a big breakfast. My bad

The right side track is the worst. I don’t not like to ride matterhorn anymore always pass it.
