I saw Fantasmic, the original version in July, 1992 before it was “tamed down” for being “too scary” . It was amazing!
The limited performances is most likely due to it being the off season for Disneyland. Not unusual or dramatic changes.
They have been doing weekend only during non-holiday/busy times since before Murphy burned down. This is not new.
