For one Disneyland Resort guest, The Happiest Place on Earth recently collided with the most wonderful time of the year in a rather unfortunate manner. The guest shared their experience on social media after visiting Disneyland Park on Christmas Eve.

Christmas is historically one of the busiest times of the year at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District. Guests flock to experience decorations, treats, and entertainment offerings like the A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Festival of the Holidays, and “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks. Unfortunately, some guests forget their holiday cheer along the way.

Redditor u/sensitiveorchidchild visited Disneyland Park alone on Christmas Eve and shared their disappointing experience with other guests on social media. The Disney Park guest expected long security lines and high crowd levels, but they were surprised by the less-than-magical behavior of their fellow visitors.

“First time going to Disneyland during the holidays,” the Disney Park guest began. “…I don’t usually encounter any rude people or interactions that are directed towards me, but…sensed some kind of weirdness with some families feeling entitled to cutting or splitting in between lines.”

The guest had an “amazing time” on the rides and loved interacting with Disney cast members–their only problems were with other visitors. When a teenage girl fell in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the guest was the only one who offered to help.

“Ended up seeking someone completely slip and land flat on their side near galaxy’s edge…,” they wrote. “Completely taken back by the lack of emotion with people who witnessed the first person slipped into the ground… ended up being the only one to offer help which she declined and rushed up and walked away fast. Instead saw some teenage girl mocking her along with her family and laughing.”

“Don’t get how some people can be so inconsiderate and hateful towards others when it could had been so serious,” the guest continued.

Although they enjoyed their visit, the guest said they’d never return to Disneyland Resort during Christmas.

“I don’t think I’ll ever go again for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day to the parks,” they concluded. “Way too stressful and too many rude people/ families.”
