I want Disney to stop buying properties and focus on the quality of what it already has. I know that’s not how capitalism works, and it doesn’t matter what I think but, while I am still able to express what I think I’m going to do it.
Disney should sell the rights to the Simpsons to Universal to broadcast and as part of the deal Universal keeps the attraction rights and gives up the lock out hold on the Marvel characters. Give them some easement time with Marvel characters in Orlando but allowing Disney to expand with MCU while that happens.
Simpsons land is my least favorite at Universal Orlando (other than the Fast and Furious ride…). If Disney took it all, that would be great! Would love to get even more great attractions at Universal, like more Nintendo lands! Zelda anyone?
Disney is being broken up and losing every single IP it bought. The Simpsons are going to be homeless. Time for Universal to also get back in the 1990s and bring back Back to the Future. Better Hill Valley than Springfield.
The Simpsons Ride is shockingly great for the completely virtual ride it is and I really don’t think Disney will treat the IP right at the parks this is a massive loss for fans.
This can be interesting. I wonder where they would put the Simpsons in Disney. Would it be at Hollywood Studios? Or, The Magic Kingdom? Those are the only two places that it would make any sense for Disney to add the Simpsons to their parks. There is one problem. When I was a kid I used to watch that cartoon all the time. During the cartoon Bart would watch the Itchy and Scratchy show. This cartoon was pretty violent. Itchy would beat up Scratchy, or Scratchy would beat up Itchy, or one of them would get electrocuted. Disney is a family friendly place. So, would they actually use memorabilia of Itchy and Scratchy?
We afford it just fine. It’s called work, you know that thing most people do that don’t blog or tweet or whatever you classify as your “job” in order to make yourselves feel better for having no life skills. That and saving and prioritizing.

The bigger picture…..Disney getting further and further away from the affordable, family venue that Mr. Walt imagined.
