We were there Dec 25th. Took us an hour to get in, I was disappointed by the outdated system Disney had to check people’s bags. They were checking by hand, opening every zipper in every bag. 2 days later we went to Universal Studios where they have airport kind of security, x-raying every bag, with out opening anything and letting people in so much faster. Disney has to invest in that, it’s not like they don’t make enough money.
Disney world has the “evolve” scanners and they still had to open every bag of mine. They even tried to get my kids who are disabled out of the wagon I had. They were very invasive and I felt like I was about to fly on a plane not enter the park.
Clearly the Disneyland Resort does not have the same screening process as other resorts and take strict precautions when checking items. Many restricted items are still found and rejected daily and sometimes resulting with guests not being able to enter the parks due to hiding restricted items. Also the highest traffic times in the morning are from 7:00am-10:00am. Plan wisely and have patience. Remember the Cast Members are doing their jobs and humans first and foremost.
