Well, Let’s see, if it went up 5000% in 43 years. It would probably go up another 2500% in the next 22 or 23 years. So you’re basic ticket price of $159 a day would cost about $3750 a day. Do you really think your bosses are going to be increasing your salary in the next 20 years 2500% to equal it?
I will be 83 years old then. Now at 62 l go to a Disney park every 2 years but dont know if I can make it then. As long as I don’t have to be in a wheelchair or mobility scooter, I’m sure i will continue to go unless my pension cantafford it.
I just came back from Disney and learned that you have to pay an extra $15 per adult that stays in your room. ie. if you have 4 people 2 adults and 2 kids there is no extra charge, but if your kids are 18 and still dependent you have to pay an extra $15. What a rip off. This is my last year for annual passes with Disney. Disgusted by how much they charge.
With the price that is way too high i could not renewal 2 annual passes for near 3000.00 .Be members for years .I am sure many more people will just do the same .Not worth it .
Canceled my annual pass quite a few years ago, shortly after Covid. I miss going but not the prices, the lines, the cost for everything has gone skyrocketing, high cost for food for less, souvenirs are outrageously priced. No thank you.
I doubt that I would be able to go. Nor could I afford it. I still haven’t been hired to work anywhere. I’ve been in Wake Forest, NC for almost 4 months now and not a single job that I’ve applied for has asked me to work there. So frustrated. Plus, even if I was hired soon I wouldn’t be able to afford plane tickets, hotel stay, park tickets, beverage, food, etc. Way too expensive now. SAD!!!!!!
Yes prices have gone up , but what hasn’t increased. You also don’t see it from the other side. Since 9/11 the world has changed the security division of the parks alone has increased its size 75%. Not counting all the law enforcement which is not free they charge disney around $22 a hour for every officer ( some are salary as high as 90k) on there property there are arpund 60 officers on the resort at any one time. You also have to thank the local unions any cost paid to the staff from unions is automatically past along to the guest. You also have to thank the guests that use to sneak food and drink in, when tickets were $75 disney estimated that the avg guest spent $30 on food and beverage plus souvenirs and impulse items. But as you may or may not noticed they no longer prohibited outside food or drink and once this changed they added the revenue loss to the ticket price. I am not as active with the company as I use to be but they also use the pricing to control capacity, instead of just adding additional capacity. The one thing I never understood is they have this massive parcel of land twice the size of the island of Manhattan and instead of adding experiences they like to replace experiences for example the tram tour at hollywood studios or the stunt show at the same location why wouldn’t you just build staw wars next to the existing attractions so the park would have a higher capacity as well as spreading crowds out that attributes to lower ride waits
It will be my 75th birthday that day and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate with my family than at Disney World. I had better start saving now!

Why worry, I have been to Disney World many times but never to Disneyland. It would be fun but to quote Alfred E. Numan, What, me worry.

I’m DVC and AP. A room, I’ll obviously have no problem getting, but let’s see what Disney does with their APs. Hmmmm….

I live near Salt Lake City, so I’ll just go out in my back yard that day and watch the totality from a lawn chair.

Okay, I’m sure that the billions that Disney make every year has nothing to do with it.
