It is sad that they’re going to close this attraction. It’s such a cool attraction. I love it. I wish that they would reconsider. A Muppet Roller Coster would be cool but, some people have back problems and can’t go on rides that have inversions/go upside down. It would be nice if Disney would consider building a 5th park. There is plenty of space for another huge park. Then, they can put Muppet Vision 3D there but, with updates. That would be so cool. I doubt that they’ll ever do it or consider doing it but, we can dream right?
I so agree with you. I am one of those people who cannot go on that roller coaster. I will miss the Muppet show. Been going there every year we go since it was MGM studio.
I also agree. As a Muppet fan, I have the first three seasons on DVD (they never released the other two). I have a bunch of Muppet films on DVD & Blu-Ray, as well.
I also have the Fraggle Rock box set. I even have: Dark Crystal, Dinosaurs (both seasons), Farscape (all seasons…including Peacekeeper Wars), Labyrinth, and even Story Teller. I even have Jack and the Bean Stalk (the one made by Henson Studios).
I can’t ride on roller coasters, either (medical reasons). After their “Great Moments In American History” went away, “Muppet Vision 3D” was my only way to get a Muppet fix there.
And Disney doing this because they want to keep an unused “behind the theme park” parking lot?!
I might be a Pixar fan, too. However, Henson is higher on my list (fandom)!
I Love the Muppets, but am NOT a fan of Rocking Rollercoaster. So it saddens me that the only way to see the Muppets now, will be on the coaster ride. If they kept the Muppets by the Hall of Presidents, that would be a nice snippet, but not the same.
My kids have zero interest in The Muppets. There is not enough media – tv shows, YouTube videos, games – to give Muppets a brand presence. Disney’s militant attempts to police their IP on YouTube don’t help. My kids are aware of brands like Minecraft, Digital Circus, and FNAF because they are constantly bombarded by social media from influencers and content farms. Disney+ doesn’t help either – it puts their brands behind a paywall that many families don’t subscribe to. We don’t subscribe because, well, we have no MCU fans in my house, and the only reason we’ve watched Bluey is because episodes appear on YouTube.

This was something my family always looked forward to with every visit to the park. It always left us smiling.

Same. My wife knew that we would make sure to go there, whenever we went to Disney World.
