This is why people don’t trust streaming services. They constantly add and remove content so you have to pay for random/separate services whenever you want to watch anything in particular. Or they just all avoid a particular movie to force you to buy it. Well, play stupid games, win stupid prizes…
You can rent it for $3.99 on Prime or Apple+… Not sure what the big deal is. If it’s one you watch every year, just buy it from one of those services. 🤷♀️
it was remove 2 boost sale during the time of the year when people r watching the movie company r trying 2 squeeze ever penny they can from u 2 boost profits
Don’t get me wrong. I buy movies from those services too. But you don’t technically own those even when you do. If you die, you can’t pass them on. If they choose to take the movie that you paid for they can because it’s in your service agreement.
Yes!! I hate that! Theses subscriptions are getting outta hand!!! Not just here but all apps! I asked my sister that one day, if it’s mine she said no.. like you used to could buy it and watch it and it’s yours even with not internet but now!! Pshhh forget about it
This movie has become a family tradition. I watched 1st time in movie theater on my birthday and every year since I watch it my birthday week and put up my tree. That has turned into my husband and kids I now have joining this tradition so I’m happy I bought it on prime years ago. It gets so frustrating trying to find my classic traditional favorites my parents shared with me so I try to buy a couple every year. These movies really are the only things that have kept any spirit up the last couple of really ruff years.
This is what happens when you have all these damn little snowflakes that can’t handle movies. They have to take them off and ban the movie it’s all about the Democrats or let me rephrase that Demoncraps they need to do something better with their lives I said what I said
Either you have a severe problem with reading comprehension, or you didn’t read the article. No where in that article did it specify it was not being shown due to content. It just had a little blurb with creator’s wife not liking it. But you sure were quick with the accusations! And that’s the problem with people like you. Not sure if you’re a tRUMPER or not, or just ignorant, but you seriously have problems.
It’s nothing political. It’s corporations making money. Relax guy, Trump won. Change your anger into bettering your own life, stop blaming others for everything. Lol!
This is why I continued buying dvds instead of buying it on a streaming service. I hate they make you pay extra but you can never find what you’re looking for. That’s why I stuck with dvds they work whenever I put them in no matter what
Jim Carrey The grinch is my daughters ultimate film and she’s 3.
Was watching grinch animation on prime on a tuesday, cone Wednesday was expected to pay to watch it as it was no longer included in prime. Defo a mobey making scheme just in time for Christmas. What a joke… Jims grinch is the better choice lol
This is ridiculous!! Not once have I heard or read why the really cut it from the streaming platforms. All it is, is they want us to spend more money like we don’t spend enough.
So the only reason they give is “Dr Suess widow doesnt ĺike it” Well theres alot of things I don’t like, I simply dont watch it not try to get it banned
What do they mean by it is banned? Why is it banned? Journalism isn’t very good anymore. Seems like the decision of what is shown lies with the streaming service and if the public wants it they will get it. Isn’t the point to make money at Christmas anyway? LOL Oh wait. that’s the point of the movie.
I have been a strong advocate for DVD and digital videos on your own hard disk drive for these very reasons. The internet went down, load up the copy on your hard drive, you service provider freezes your account, pop in the DVD. The only down side (for dvd) is you have to physically switch them. Not a problem for someone who has lived through those times. And for the HD drives, the positive side is it instantly starts and you can scrub to your favorite parts without buffering. Streaming is nice but local devices will always be king.
Why is it ‘banned’? And why do these streaming services (or anyone else) feel they can push their own agendas and be dictators? I’m getting so annoyed by the people who feel they can tell me what I, or my children, can watch, play, read, or listen to. I think I’m old enough to make up my own mind!
They are messing with Jim Carrey because he is spilling the beans on Pedowood and Diddy parties. But now they have to move on and Satanize Christmas with Jack Black as Satan in Dear Santa! Kid misspells Santa and Satan comes to take his soul. They say it is a comedy, well folks Satan is not funny nor a comedy. They are programming the children to worship Satan with this film.
A bit far fetched. I thoroughly enjoyed Dear Santa and I didn’t become a devil worshiping satanist. In fact, if you watched the film, Jack Black wasn’t even Satan, but I digress. There was no scene in Dear Santa that worshipped Satan. The kid realized he made a spelling error later in the film and states that Satan couldn’t have his soul and he wouldn’t make any more wishes so it doesn’t happen. He only makes his last wish to see his parents happy again. And more to the point, his wishes were selfless wishes, which is what this season should be about anyway.
It is not banned just moved to pay to view and even that has only been recently. I have watched both versions without paying as a separate thing in November. This version now only available if you pay but I’m sure it will be back on some streaming service for a period of time next year
Watch it on Free-form’s 25 Days of Christmas, it use to be like the ABC Family Channel for America’s Funniest Home Videos. They do all the classic Christmas movies! Look it up on Google and find out the 2024 listings!
I’ve owned the grinch on vhs since I think 2001? I was like 6. Since then I always watched it but since that style of movie gets worn out after x amount of years I thought for sure I would find it on some sort of streaming app but the last few years been dissmal. So I bought the blue ray disc. $10 one time and mine forever wherever I want to bring it with no permissions from apps or shared accounts I can barrow it out to anyone.
I can confirm that this movie (Jim Carrey’s 2000 Grinch adaptation) is definitely available on Netflix in Canada as of November 27, 2024, and has been for some time. Maybe this article is specific to the USA.
Just an fyi you can jailbreak a fire stick or an android stick in 10 minutes and never have to pay for a streaming service ever, you get new movies that are still in the theaters for FREE. Just look up a tutorial online it’s so easy.
Hello have you people ever heard of blu ray dvd vhs before if you’re a real fan you already have all these movies that way we don’t have to cry about not having the movies or music because streaming is stupid

Better to buy DVD vs. digital . You can’t retrieve it once the system is discontinued or or some glitch in the system

I saw the Grinch advertising on Freeform for 25 days of Christmas. Anyone can watch it there. Just look up Freeform schedule and see when it airs.
Jack
Yes Freeform and MAX
BlueSigmaWolf
It’s disappointing, but can’t be helped, either. It’s actually characteristic of streaming services, so what else do you expect?
Jack
It will be on MAX in a week or so lol people are so quick to believe anything before finding out for themselves…. lmao sheeple
Susan Talbot
The up side to owning the DVD is that you can watch it all year anytime you want
Dawn
But how long before DVDs are no longer produced?
